Support the Immune System
Our immune system is kind of like internal armor - it is designed to protect us against harm from foreign invaders such as viruses, bacteria, and free radicals. But sometimes if our armor is weakened, our immune system can become overwhelmed, and we can get sick. This video offers natural tips for supporting our immune system so we can stay as healthy as possible.

I am a huge fan of all your Moving Art films, Louie Schwartzberg. I love the whole of the series of Moving Art you had in Netflix. I was so sorry I could not see any more before going to bed every night. For years that was the film I watched at least for 15 minutes just before going to bed. Thank you very very much for your wonderful and amazing films whether the flowers, the forest or the ocean all of them were an inspiration, relaxing work of art which connected us with our true Self.

She is disdained by his “old family” because she pushed them away. Shame on the speaker series for using this forum to advance her time with Gene. He is still my dance hero. But admitting she had had no knowledge of his career gives her NO platform to promote her dribble.

How dare she? Don’t care she’s a writer. His children all refer to her as pushing them away. And that you had no awareness of whom he was to all of his fans and contemporaries age-wise. I started ballet and tap age nine in 1951 at a small dance school south of Seattle. My mother made beautiful costumes. Then added hula age eleven. Univ of Wash 1960-63 modern dance on campus. Had four different hula instructors in No Cal. So once again, how dare you, shut your door on his children? You say it’s his memoir but all his personal history? Not being even tangentially aware of Gene Kelly just defines you as a SNOB.

Lovely convo. I adore Buddhist philosophy and of course Jewish wisdom. Sometimes I feel Buddhism is too idealistic, and doesn't grapple with the reality of very difficult moral decisions. Was WWII a just war? Would non-violence on behalf of the allies have led to a complete Nazification of the world? I don't claim to support violence, I'm a pacifist at heart- but until the world sees itself and humanity through the eyes of a Buddha, we have some subset of the human population who would do harm to another subset if given power and opportunity.

She’e never heard of him? I was born in the 90s and I heard of him in my teens. I find it hard to believe that a woman born in the 50s had never heard of one of the most famous actors in the US. It’s incredibly annoying when the spouses of ultra famous people try to pretend they’d been living under a rock and had no clue who their now spouse was when they first met them.

She rubs me the wrong way. Argh! Plus, I'm from DC and even back in the 80s, you'd see limos/motorcades all the time, carrying dignitaries around. They were everywhere. It just seems like an odd remark. I'll tell ya tho, I wouldn't have minded a passionate kiss from Kelly. <swoon>

"While there is no way to compensate for an atrocity, there is a way to transcend it, by making it a gift to others. The trauma is redeemed only when it becomes the sources of a survivor’s mission." "Traumatic events destroy the sustaining bonds between individual and community. Those who have survived learn that their sense of self, of worth, of humanity, depends upon a feeling of connection with others. The solidarity of a group provides the strongest protection against terror and despair, and the strongest antidote to traumatic experience. Trauma isolates; the group re-creates a sense of belonging. Trauma shames and stigmatizes; the group bears witness and affirms. Trauma degrades the victim; the group exalts her. Trauma dehumanizes the victim; the group restores her humanity." "Repeatedly in the testimony of survivors there comes a moment when a sense of connection is restored by another person’s unaffected display of generosity. Something in herself that the victim believes to be irretrievably destroyed -- faith, decency, courage -- is reawakened by an example of common altruism. Mirrored in the actions of others, the survivor recognizes and reclaims a lost part of herself. At that moment, the survivor begins to rejoin the human commonality..." ~ Judith Lewis Herman "Don't be afraid of your despair. Be gentle with yourself. Take your time with this journey. Let despair guide you to the self you need to birth, the meaning you need to make, the world you need to serve. Let it reward you with a resilient faith in life." ~ Miriam Greenspan "In your wound lies your soul's deepest desires." ~ James Hillman "Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dream." ~ Paulo Coelho "We are born in relationship, we are wounded in relationship, and we can be healed in relationship." ~ Harville Hendrix "The degree to which I can create relationships, which facilitate the growth of others as separate persons, is a measure of the growth I have achieved in myself." ~ Carl Rogers “Love is the will to extend one’s self for the purpose of nurturing one’s own or another’s spiritual growth.” ~ Scott Peck "Courage is the measure of our heartfelt participation with life, with another, with a community, a work; a future. To be courageous is not necessarily to go anywhere or do anything except to make conscious those things we already feel deeply and then to live through the unending vulnerabilities of those consequences." ~ David Whyte "We need the compassion and the courage to change the conditions that support our suffering. Those conditions are things like ignorance, bitterness, negligence, clinging, and holding on." "We can learn the art of fierce compassion - redefining strength, deconstructing isolation and renewing a sense of community, practicing letting go of rigid us-vs.-them thinking - while cultivating power and clarity in response to difficult situations." "Love and compassion don't at all have to make us weak, or lead us to losing discernment and vision. We just have to learn how to find them. And see, in truth, what they bring us." ~ Sharon Salzberg "When we give in the world what we want the most, we heal the broken part inside each of us." ~ Eve Ensler “If the light is in your heart, you will find your way home." ~ Rumi

She is a true testimony of her words, she must have been interviewed hundreds of times. there are questions she must have gotten asked over and over, she takes a breath before answering. The take from this for me... is not what happens to you, but what you choose to do about yourself, to release the stories that are attached via emotions. that we take as our identity. we can be anything (note to self- Then be something good, be something positive, joyous and extraordinary)

Sits with friends/ guests and hammers her crew via radio on the table . Plays guest , whilst required as a captain (season 3) Not respected in the field - calked “Capt Tine Share “. Funny how both Kelly and Astaire, so different in style and character, both contracted marriages late in life, as widowers, which alienated their families. Kelly's second wife, Jeanne Crain, made him mellower and less competitive, but after 'It's Always Fair Weather', 'Les Girls' and 'Gigot' tanked, his brief spell of glory from 'The Pirate' to 'Singin' in the Rain' seemed well behind him. People noticed that without Stanley Donen as co-director he seemed less effective either performing or behind the camera. He had comebacks, but each was soon followed by a commercial setback: his ballet 'Pas de Dieux' by 'Les Demoiselles de Rochefort', 'A Guide for the Married Man' by 'Hello, Dolly'. His last 20 years were mainly about reminiscing, paying tributes to himself and appearing on junk TV shows.

well even just by watching this and not knowing the rest, one has conclude that she's a total phony and the whole thing is an act. Because if it were real it would be really pathetic. But doing all this for money and fame is another kind of insane. Poor Gene Kelly, he really deserved a better ending than this.
